Bauer Studios Ludwigsburg

Kantorei der Karlshöhe

It was a premiere for Nikolai Ott, the new conductor of the Kantorei der Karlshöhe, aswell as for the newest piece "Beben" by composer Jan Kopp.

The combination of Kopps contemporary music and Händels barock oratory "Israel in Egypt" was a "musical feat for the musicians", Ott told the Stuttgarter Zeitung. Though they mastered the task beautifully.

No wonder the organizers wished to do a live recording of the concert.

Hence Michael Thumm and Bettina Bertok from the Bauer Studios got invited to capture the moment. With a decent miking they created a great sound.

Our Tonmeister Johannes Wohlleben was also present, however this time not behind the console, but as a choir singer.
