STUDIO KONZERT with Klassische Philharmonie NordWest

After a long winters break, it was once again time for another Studio Konzert...

For the second ever, we were excited to witness classical music within a Studio Konzert. Conductor and leader Ulrich Semrau, whose attention we attracted with the Studio Konzert of Hanna Shybayeva, already entered the studio on saturday alongside his musicians, the KPNW.  On one hand to practice the chosen pieces intensively and on the other hand to have time for an good soundcheck with our engineer Daniel Keinath.

The concert began on monday evening in front of 60 keen listeners. where the orchestra presented important works of the late romantic, like the suite:" Aus Holbergs Zeit (Op.40) from norwegian composer Edvard Grieg or his musical versions of poems:" Zwei elegische Lieder" from 1881.

The following tunes were also from composers from the northern region of europe. Ulrich Semrau played trumpet and piccolotrumpet on Erik Larssons's "Concertino for Trumpet and Strings" (1957) and pleased everybody with his wistful legato playing, accompanied by beautiful string sound carpets of the orchestra.

Last but not least, the orchestra gave their best and much heartblood into performing Dvořák's:" Serenade in E-Dur". Fortunally, the Studio Konzert setting give the opportunity to re-record certain parts and after some encores the audience thanked the orchestra for a wonderful concert and evening.
