Russian-Ukrainian friendship in Studio 1

On June 25th and 26th Vadim Neselovskyi and Arkady Schilkloper visited us together.

The Ukrainian pianist Vadim Neselovskyi there by did the third production within one year at our studio. Last year he already performed two times in our Studio Konzert series, once with the trio East Drive and once with his own trio Bez Granitz, in Studio 1. Both concerts were released as vinyl.

The Russian hornist Arkady Schilkloper also already recorded at ours in 1998, back then with the Andreas Willers Octet.

Schilkloper created unexpected tone colours alternately with french horn, flugelhorn and alphorn. The duo managed to bring Russia's soul and landscapes to Studio 1 through its virtuous style of playing music.

From October 10th you can bring this atmosphere to your home, when the album is released on our label Neuklang.

The recording session was directed by Philipp Heck.
