STUDIO KONZERT with The Ropesh

Despite autumnal temperatures The Ropesh heated up the audience at our fourth studio concert.

Capturing the energy of a live performance is a major challenge for every audio engineer. This applies in particular when it comes to recording directly to 2-track analog tape which of course does not allow any further corrections. Yet The Ropesh didn't lack the energy from their first song.

The young band members have various musical roots. Influences of jazz, funk classical and pop music can be recognized as well as hip-hop, metal, industrial, progressive and electronic music.
But the band reaches a remarkable consistency in this combined with driving rhythm. They performed their exciting songs in a totally relaxed mood while the audience could have a unique experience somewhere between a concert and a recording session.

Between the pieces when the tape had to be changed the audience could enjoy the charming announcements of the Italian band leader and flutist Lorenzo Colocci. This is a detail which does not matter when recording on hard disc. But it becomes crucial in this case where the difference is indeed acheived by higher effort.

We are happy about the continuous success of our STUDIO KONZERT series. We are particularly grateful for the appreciation and evaluation on the part of the audience, for the artistic performance on the stage and for the technical work behind the scene to create and record this special moment.

We also thank our cooperation partners Scala Kultur gGmbH and Jazzclub Ludwigsburg for their support.
