The large recording room with unique sound characteristics

  • For large groups of musicians (up to 60), orchestras, big bands and choirs
  • For ensembles, whose sound will benefit from a room with excellent acoustics
  • For tight and punchy drum recordings which nevertheless retain the subtle nuances afforded by natural ambience

 

The acoustic partitions and screens and our isolation and percussion booths allow a the room characteristics to be changed at will.

 

Our 1920s Steinway & Sons D-274 Concert Grand Piano has an excellent reputation all over the world. Its legendary sound has featured on many recordings including those of Keith Jarrett, Richie Beirach, JohnTaylor, Django Bates, Joachim Kühn, Michael Wollny and many more.

In addition we provide you with a Hammond A-100 with Leslie-Cabinet, a Fender Rhodes Mark I, a Wurlitzer piano and a Celesta.

A large selection of the best state-of-the-art studio microphones plus an array of well-preserved and maintained vintage microphones ensures that we capture every detail of your sound in the highest fidelity.

 

Bauer Studios Regie 1

The analogue AMS Neve VXS 60/60 mixing console is the centerpiece!

With an area of 55m² Control Room 1 is fully equipped for surround sound productions.

For software, you can choose between ProTools and Pyramix. Both DAW systems support high-resolution 96kHz sampling and are linked to an extensive range of outboard equipment such as the Lexicon 960 reverb system and dynamics processors from Tubetec, Urei and Jünger.
