Productions of music for brass instruments have always been a major concern of ours. We mean this literally, too, for the acoustics in the large Studio 1 give brass players “breathing space,” enabling the music to flourish to the utmost.
This is true of all styles and combinations. A large portion of the German bands have already been with us, including a significant number of top-notch musical associations. Taken all together, they have played practically every conceivable type of concert band music. Many of these recordings are issued on our label B-Ton.
High-level amateur associations with their wide musical spectrum are also welcome guests. They feel at home with us, for our know-how is the perfect support for their great commitment. Just as welcome are brass bands and their special repertoire. Three of the best brass bands in Switzerland record with us.
Popular folk-like brass music has a genuine tradition with us, already through the intensive collaboration with Ernst Mosch that we have enjoyed for many years. The typical Egerländer sound was created in our Studio 1. Numerous ensembles followed the master, including the official successor Ernst Hutter & Die Egerländer Musikanten. The continuation of a beautiful tradition!
We are also very familiar, however, with symphonic band music for large ensembles – for example the Staatsorchester Stuttgart and the Landesblasorchester Baden-Württemberg. Several of their recordings are issued on our classical label Animato.
